What is the purpose of the QTPOC Conference?
The conference is organized to focus on people of color who are part of the LGBTQ+ community. People of all sexualities and gender identities are welcome to attend. The conference is focused towards people on college campuses (students, staff and faculty). You must be 18+ years old to attend.
The student organization QTPOC of UCR will begin meeting in Fall Quarter. Meanwhile, you can contact pro staff.

Who may attend the QTPOC Conference?
Friday's events are open to everyone. Saturday's conference will only be attended by people who register for the conference.

The conference is focused towards people on college campuses (students, staff and faculty). You must be 18+ years old to attend.
Can high school students attend?
No, this conference is for folks who are 18 years old or older.
How much does it cost to attend Saturday's events?
Note: Friday's opening is free to all.
- The Regular Registration Fee is $20 per person.
- Some scholarships will be available for those unable to afford reduced registration.
- Group Registration Fee for campuses is $200 to $300 (sliding scale) for unlimited people (students, staff, faculty) accepted to attend, as long as they register online by the deadline of February 7, 2020.
- For those receiving support from their campus (student government or departments) or community organization), an invoice and W-9 form will be provided upon request.
What food will be provided?
Registered participants will be provided morning and afternoon hospitality, as well as a box lunch.
Will there be gender inclusive restrooms?
The conference takes place in the Highlander Union Building, which has two single-occupancy gender inclusive restrooms on each level. For Saturday's conference events, all multi-stall restrooms on the 3rd level will be gender inclusive, too.
Where do I park and how much does it cost?
Parking is FREE!! Attendants will be giving out free permits on Friday, 5pm to 8pm and Saturday 8am to 11am in Loy 1. Check back for any Lot location changes. Please tell the parking attendant you are attending the QTPOC Conference and you will be given a free parking permit for the day.
What’s the best way to use air travel to attend the QTPOC Conference?
Ontario International Airport is 17 Miles from UCR, and by far the easiest airport to fly into. Also, Southwest Airlines offers direct service between many cities and Ontario.

How will ADA-related accommodations be provided to participants?
Please include needed accommodations when you register online. Please email nancy.tubbs@ucr.edu as soon as possible if you require ASL interpretation for Saturday's conference events. We cannot provide Saturday ASL interpretation unless informed of the need by the Registration deadline on November 8, 2020. ASL interpretation will be provided for Friday's opening. Examples of other accommodations include cart rides from Lot 1 and large print program books.
